Wolves continue Northshore League dominance

COVINGTON — St. Paul’s golf team continued to excel in the Northshore Golf League as the Wolves’ totaled 310 to win week
five’s team title Tuesday at Tchefuntca Country Club topping Fontainebleau (339) by a whopping 29 strokes. Ponchatoula (351) came in third followed
by Northshore (355), Mandeville (364), Slidell (380) and Covington (417).
St. Paul’s (1,257) leads the team race followed by Fontainebleau (1,385) with Mandeville and Northshore (1,421) tied for third. Ponchatoula
(1.457) is in fourth followed by Slidell (St. Paul’s Jonah Johnson and Brandon Pierce tied for individual medalist honors by carding four over par 76s.
Fontainebleau’s John Griffitt’s and Matt Moseley (77) followed just one stroke back in the individual competition. St. Paul’s Jeremy Kratzberg, Kiff
Myrtle and Northshore’s Alex Black (79) were next. Mandeville’s Jordan Cardwell and Slidell’s Garrett Tranchina (81) were tied followed by Ponchatoula’s
Michael Ditzin (82). Hammond’s Keeno Jackson and MHS’ Evans Haile (84) tied for tenth place. Rounding out the top 20 were SPS’ Sutherlin McCray (85),
HHS’ Casey Moll (86), PHS’ Nick Lemoine (87), PHS’ Tanner Tomes (88), FHS’ Conner Smith (90), NHS’ Gus Shroeder (91), NHS’ Nick Parker (92), NHS’ Ryan
Frazier (93) and PHS’ Matt Lesaichere (94).
